Dharamsala- is the main hill station in the Kangra Valley - a fertile, undulating valley, lying between the gentle Shivalik Hills and the foothills of the mighty Dhauladhars - a valley noted for the beauty of its scenery - lush terraces, wooded hills and sparkling streams. The Dhauladhars, "the white mountains" that rise 4,000 m above the valley floor, provide a dramatic backdrop Picturesque. Dharamsala, built on a spur of the Dhauladhar range, commands a splendid view of the surrounding country.

Mcleod Ganj
A charming Tibetan settlement has bustling bazaars that sell carpets, Tibetan handicrafts, and delicious Tibetan foods.

Kangra
Kangra is a lush valley with rich harvests of grain and a plentiful of fruits that includes peach , pear plum and apricot . Famed for giving rise to Kangra school of paintings, Kangra valley has many temples and shrines, prominent among them are Jwalamukhi, Kangra and Baijnath temple .

Machhrial And Tatwani
This is an exotic waterfall, which is twice as big as the one near the Bhagsunath temple and and there's a hot spring a little beyond it. Machhrial and Tatwani is approximately 25 km from Dharamshala.

Access by Air
Dharamshala can be reached through airways thrice a week with the Indian Airlines. The closest airport is situated in the city of Jammu (204 kms).

Access by Rail
Pathankot is the nearest railhead for Dharamshala. All the major cities are connected to Pathankot which is 3 hours away from Dharamshala.

Access by Road
One can travel by luxury buses from Delhi and Shimla to the city of Dharamshala. There are many other regular bus services available from the major cities to Dharamshala.
